Stenon’s Nitrogen Map is perfectly aligned with the NDVI biomass distribution map.

We are thrilled to update you on the progress of our calibration efforts in Mato Grosso, Brazil. Our team has successfully completed fieldwork, collecting numerous soil samples from various parts of the region. Since September, they’ve travelled more than 8000 kilometers to ensure we capture the full diversity of local soils. These samples will now be analyzed in local laboratories and shipped to Germany for further testing. Once we receive the lab results, our data science team will begin adjusting our models to reflect the region’s specific soil characteristics.

At Stenon, data accuracy is at the heart of our innovative solutions, and we take pride in delivering precise data for all the markets we serve. A great example of this is the recent fieldwork our team conducted in the Central Brazil, focusing on a cornfield.

Our Nitrogen Map (N-Map) delivered highly accurate nutrient insights, perfectly aligning with the NDVI biomass distribution map. Since the NDVI was captured three days before our measurements, our data reflects the current plant health with precision. This enabled farmers to quickly pinpoint low-nitrogen areas affecting plant growth, resulting in immediate, actionable insights for better crop management.

Stenon delivers real-time nutrient data at every stage of the crop cycle, empowering you to make informed decisions about your nutrient strategy. In this case, low nitrogen levels were identified in specific zones, aligning with low biomass areas—demonstrating how effective nutrient management can directly boost productivity.

With Stenon, you have access to accurate, real-time nutrient data at your fingertips, regardless of your crop’s growth stage. This success story from Brazil highlights the precision and effectiveness of our technology in optimizing yields.

A record-breaking wheat yield success from Kazakhstan!

Stenon’s technology helped achieve a record-breaking wheat yield of 10 t/ha.

We are excited to share the success story of a farmer from the North Kazakhstan region, a client of our exclusive partner in Kazakhstan, Eurasia Group. This farmer has achieved a record-breaking wheat yield of 10 t/ha – the highest in the farm’s history and impressively 42% higher than expected!

Stenon’s technology played one of the key roles in this achievement, as the entire nutrient plan was developed using measurements and recommendations from FarmLab and Stenon’s WebApp.

We’re proud that our solution not only optimizes input applications but also directly boosts yields.

Stenon team hit the road in Paraná!

Stenon at the field day in Reserva, Paraná.

In September, Stenon had the pleasure of attending the field day in Reserva, Paraná, organized by our partner, Lavoro store Deragro. This event was a fantastic platform to showcase our innovative technologies that are revolutionizing the agricultural sector. We were thrilled to demonstrate our cutting-edge soil analysis technology, providing local agricultural businesses with real-time data on Nitrogen and Soil Organic Matter.

Stenon’s technology empowers users with precise fertilizer recommendations, driving both efficiency and sustainability. By optimizing fertilizer usage, our solution helps achieve greater productivity with fewer inputs. Stay tuned, as we will soon share a success story from the Paraná region, highlighting these advantages in action.

Agricultural news spanning the globe.

In this collection of the reading tips we focus on optimizing nitrogen fertilizer application for improved crop productivity.

In this edition of our reading tips, we focus on the crucial topic of optimizing nitrogen fertilizer application. One article in Russian explores key factors such as soil nitrogen content, temperature, and crop rotation practices that influence the effectiveness of mineral fertilizers. It highlights research on nitrogen mineralization and provides practical recommendations for optimizing fertilizer use, based on studies by agricultural scientists.

Technology plays a significant role in enhancing fertilizer efficiency. As illustrated by a client of Stenon’s partner, Eurasia Group, our innovative soil analysis solution not only helps optimize nitrogen inputs but also contributes to increasing overall crop yields.

Another insightful article from Revista Campo & Negócios underscores the importance of optimizing nitrogen fertilizer use to improve crop yields in Brazil. It focuses on strategies to reduce nitrogen losses, such as the use of urease inhibitors, which boost nitrogen uptake efficiency in crops like maize. The article also explores how different nitrogen sources and application rates can enhance crop productivity while minimizing environmental impact.

In Germany, strict regulations govern nitrogen fertilizer use due to concerns over nitrate leaching into water systems. An article from DLG Mitteilungen (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft) stresses the need for precise application techniques, including split fertilization and sensor-based systems, to improve nitrogen use efficiency. These methods not only promote better crop growth but also reduce environmental risks by minimizing excess nitrogen runoff.

Stenon’s technology offers precise, real-time soil analysis, enabling growers to make data-driven decisions that optimize nitrogen usage and boost crop yields while minimizing environmental impact. For more information on how our solution can benefit your operations, get in touch with us today!
